How do you say "Rodeo Drive?"

In Beverly Hills, it has a ring to it that sounds a tad different than the one I grew up with.

Our family of four traveled "home" to Phillipsburg the first weekend in August for Rodeo. The first night official night of Rodeo is Thursday with performances from animals, cowboys, cowgirls, and clowns through the grand finale Saturday night.

Rodeo parade kicks off the Saturday festivities where Eli and Ruby Kate helped line the streets of Main (otherwise known as Highway 36) to watch the town floats (consisting of cheerleaders, high school band, &local businesses), tractors, bicycles, and horses parade through town. We had front row seats and those two collected more candy than any Halloween night.

I won't bore you with the details of our every move...

In summary: We are blessed to get to go "home" to Rodeo weekend where we find family reunion potluck dinner waiting for us post-parade, loads of classmates home for the event and eager to catch up on life outside of Facebook, action-filled Rodeo events and an overall sense of belonging that can be found nowhere else but "HOME."

If you are looking for a new place to call home - I want to help...no matter how you say Rodeo.
